We are a dedicated and talented team of volunteers who manage the Mesquite Community Theatre and produce a minimum of three major stage plays each year. To do that, we begin by selecting each season’s plays to include dramas, comedies, musicals, and even original works by local artists. Once we have secured the rights to the plays, we appoint a director, hold auditions, and set a rigorous rehearsal schedule. We build sets, find props, and sew or order costumes.  We advertise each play, sell tickets, and develop and print programs. We manage the box office, run the concession stand, and ensure that every audience member is greeted and ushered to his or her seat.
